The number on the box — two inch, three inch — is the least important part of a lift kit. What determines whether the vehicle drives well afterwards is whether the spring rates suit the weight it carries, whether the damping matches those springs, and whether the geometry has been corrected for the new ride height.
We see plenty of vehicles that have been lifted and now wander on the highway, chew the inside edge of the front tyres, clunk over bumps, or sit nose-high and unloaded at the rear. In almost every case the parts were fine and the installation skipped the geometry.
Working through that list is the difference between a lifted vehicle that drives properly and one that has simply been made taller.
Lift height and legality depend on your specific vehicle. Western Australia has vehicle modification rules covering suspension lift, overall height change and tyre size, and what is permissible without approval differs between vehicles and between modification combinations. We will tell you where your intended build sits before we start, and what would need engineering or approval — rather than fitting it first and leaving you to find out later.
If a build needs certification, we will say so up front. If a smaller lift achieves what you actually want without that paperwork, we will say that too.

Yes, always. Changing ride height changes camber, caster and toe, so an alignment is part of a correctly-installed lift rather than an optional extra. A wheel alignment is included with every suspension kit we fit.

WA has rules covering suspension lift and vehicle height, and what is allowed without approval varies. We will tell you where your planned build sits, and what would need engineering or approval, before any work starts.
Usually less than you think. Clearance for a larger tyre and correct spring rates for your load are the useful outcomes; height for its own sake raises the centre of gravity and adds compliance complications. We will recommend the smallest lift that achieves what you want.
Yes, and doing both together is sensible — tyre diameter affects clearance, geometry and compliance, so it is better assessed as one build than as two separate jobs.
