Diagnostics first, parts second. A fault code tells you where to look, not what to replace — and the difference between those two things is what a repair bill is made of.
A scan tool reads what the vehicle has recorded. It does not tell you the cause. A code pointing at an oxygen sensor might be a failed sensor, or it might be an exhaust leak, a vacuum leak, a wiring fault or a fuel trim problem upstream. Replacing the sensor named in the code is a coin toss.
So we read the codes, then test — live data, physical inspection, and the mechanical checks that confirm or eliminate each possibility. You get told what is actually wrong and what it will cost to fix, in writing, before we start.

These are the complaints that end up being expensive at other workshops, because they get chased through the wrong system. A vibration at highway speed can be a tyre, a wheel balance, a driveshaft, a worn bush, a CV or a driveline angle problem — and on a lifted vehicle, driveline angle is a frequent culprit that a purely mechanical diagnosis will never find.
Because we do suspension and geometry every day, we cover both halves of that problem in one place instead of sending you between two workshops that each rule out their own area.
We charge for the diagnostic time it takes to find the fault properly, and then quote the repair in writing. If the repair goes ahead, you know what you are paying for and why. If we find something else while the vehicle is apart, you get a call and a decision — never a surprise line on the invoice.
On a pre-purchase inspection: our job is to tell you what is wrong with the car, not to help anyone sell it. If we would not buy it, we will say so.
