Logbook Servicing in Malaga

Your new-car warranty does not require the dealer. It requires the service to be done to the manufacturer's schedule with correct-specification parts — which is exactly what we do, and record.

Malaga Workshop

You are not locked into the dealership

This is the single most misunderstood thing in car servicing. Under Australian Consumer Law, a manufacturer cannot void your new-vehicle warranty simply because an independent workshop carried out the servicing. What matters is that the service follows the manufacturer's schedule, uses oils, fluids, filters and parts of the correct specification, and is properly documented.

Any suggestion that servicing must be done at a dealership to preserve the warranty is not how the law works. Keep your records, have the book stamped, and your warranty position is protected.

What a logbook service here includes

Why the suspension check matters at service time

Most service checklists tick a suspension box. Because suspension is our specialty, that check is the part of a service we are hardest on. Worn bushes, an early ball joint, a shock starting to lose damping and an alignment drifting out are all cheap and simple problems when they are caught at a service, and expensive ones when they are found after they have destroyed a set of tyres or taken a neighbouring component with them.

You get told what we find and what it means — not a quote you did not ask for.

Fleet and trade servicing

If you run work vehicles, we handle scheduled fleet servicing with the invoicing kept tidy and consistent so the paperwork is not its own job. Being in the Malaga industrial area, a lot of our regular work is trade utes and small fleets from the surrounding estates — vehicles that carry weight daily and need their suspension and brakes watched more closely than a family car.

Questions

Frequently asked

Will servicing at an independent workshop void my new-car warranty?

No. Under Australian Consumer Law your warranty is not voided by using an independent workshop, provided the service follows the manufacturer's schedule and uses parts and fluids of the correct specification. We service to the schedule, use correct-spec consumables, stamp the book and keep the records.

Do you stamp the logbook?

Yes. The book is stamped and the service is recorded, so your service history stays complete and documented.

How often should my car be serviced?

Follow the interval in your logbook, which is set by distance or time — whichever comes first. Vehicles that tow, carry constant load, do a lot of short trips or spend time on gravel often warrant tighter intervals than the book minimum.

Do you use genuine parts?

We use parts and fluids that meet the manufacturer's specification, which is what protects your warranty. Where genuine is the right answer for a particular component we will say so, and where a quality equivalent meets the spec we will tell you that too — the choice is yours.

Can you service my vehicle while it's still under warranty?

Yes, that is exactly what logbook servicing is for. Servicing to the manufacturer's schedule with correct-specification parts and a documented record keeps your warranty position intact.
